How to play, keys and scoring
Think in layers
Choose an ink, choose a stencil, then Stamp it. The tiny stencil diagram shows exactly which squares it paints. Stencils stay in place; they do not slide or rotate. Preview shows the next layer without using a move.
All nine squares must match the proof, including blank squares. Paper is an opaque ink that paints squares blank again. It costs one stamp. A stamp that changes nothing is free. There is no timer or move limit.
Help without a dead end
Undo removes one impression. Fresh sheet restarts the current job. The hint finds a shortest continuation from your current sheet, then selects the next ink and stencil for you to inspect and stamp. All eight jobs are open from the start.
Keyboard and touch
Tap any ink, stencil or button. Keyboard: 1 Paper, 2 Plum, 3 Teal, 4 Blue when available. ← → cycle stencils. Space stamps when focus is outside a button. V previews, U undoes, R restarts, H hints. Tab and Enter operate every button normally.
Collect the eight proofs
Gold seal: match the exact minimum. Silver: one extra stamp. Bronze: any complete print. Hints mark the attempt assisted and award a Help seal instead. Undo is free. Fresh sheet clears assistance. Best unassisted results and completed jobs save when storage is available. The footer shows whether saving succeeded.
The minimum is proven by searching every shorter sequence of legal stamps. Original fictional puzzles. Classic color-move inspiration: Simon Tatham's Flood; these boards use a different overwrite mechanic.
