The Parti Québécois won 28% of the vote and 46% of the seats. The CAQ won 13% and none.

Quebec's 127-seat National Assembly, riding by riding: where votes turned into seats, where they were wasted, and which ridings were decided by a few hundred ballots.

A perfectly proportional split would be about 35 seats. A majority is 64.

What one seat cost

Votes cast for each party divided by the seats it won.

A Conservative seat took about 2.3 times as many votes as a PQ seat. The CAQ spent 572,037 votes and got no seat at all, more votes than Québec solidaire spent on its 9.

Runner-up parties are known for 114 ridings. For 13 ridings (Taillon to Westmount-Saint-Louis) the source table I used does not label parties, so those are counted as flips but not attributed.
