Sources and notes
Eurostat, tour_occ_nim, nights spent at tourist accommodation establishments, monthly, all residencies, hotels and other tourist accommodation (NACE I551-I553). Fetched via the Eurostat API; dataset last updated 20 October 2026. Data runs January 2019 to August 2026. Shares and indexes are computed on this page from calendar year 2025, the latest full year. The United Kingdom, Moldova, North Macedonia and Liechtenstein are left out because 2025 is incomplete or negligible in the feed. 2020 and 2021 show the pandemic. Some countries have gaps in single months; these appear as breaks in the lines.
